[Hostari Panel] How do I upload existing worlds to my server?

How do I add existing worlds to my server?

First, determine whether your server uses the ValheimServerHosting panel or the Hostari panel. This method only works for servers that run the Hostari panel. To confirm this, you can read this article or reach out directly to support.

If you use a ValheimServerHosting panel, read this article to find the correct instructions for you.

Step 1 - Click on "Access Panel"

Once you've confirmed that you're using the Hostari panel, click on the Access Panel button on your server profile.

Step 1 - Click on "Access Panel"

Step 2 - Go to "Files"

Inside the Hostari panel, click and navigate to the Files tab.

Step 2 - Go to "Files"

What the "Files" tab should contain

Step 3 - Go to the ".config" folder and navigate to the "worlds_local" folder

Once you're in the "Files" tab, you should be seeing a bunch of folders. Go into the .config folder and keep going into the folder until you reach worlds_local. As of this writing, the full directory you need to reach is .config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local.

Step 3 - Navigate to ".config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local"

Step 4 - Upload your world files

Inside the worlds_local folder, you can start dragging and dropping your world files (.db and .fwl) into the directory or clicking the Upload button and selecting your files.

Step 5 - After uploading, go to the "Startup" tab and type the name of the world you just uploaded under the "World Name" field

Now that your world files are uploaded, you will need to navigate to the "Startup" tab and changing the value in the "World Name" field to the name of your world file (without the .db or .fwl extension). For example, if your world files are myWorld1.fwl and myWorld1.db, the text you write in the field should be myWorld1.

Step 5 - After uploading, go to the "Startup" tab and write your world name inside the "World Name" field

Step 6 - Restart your server and enjoy!

Step 6 - Navigate to the "Console" tab and restart your server
